Evergreen Brick Works will play host to a collection of my climate change mosaics from November 12, 2015 to March 5, 2016 (in the Young Welcome Centre). Come explore these mosaics first hand and then experience what Evergreen Brick Works has to offer. The site has a rich geologic, industrial, and graffiti history, and my mosaics will feel right at home there.
If you visit on the weekend, please note that half of the mosaics will be inaccessible during market hours (Saturday 9am-1pm, Sunday 10am-3pm)—an afternoon visit is recommended.
I’ll also be giving an artist talk—“Climate in pieces: A mosaicist’s perspective on climate change“—on Saturday, March 5 at 1:30pm. Learn about the series, “Fiddling while Rome burns” and my artistic process, and ask me any questions you might have.
A final note: I am thrilled that this event is officially part of ArtCOP21—a global climate festival designed to engage citizens worldwide on the issue of climate change and the transition to a sustainable economy. Check out their website to find other events in your area.
